The V40 is set to make its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show in the beginning of March. It will rival the five-door versions of the BMW 1-Series and the Audi A3 Sportsback. Volvo has not yet clarified if it will also present a replacement for the three-door C30.
Volvo Cars CEO Stefan Jakoby gave us a sneak peek of the new V40 at an interview with Hakan Matson, chairman of the European Car of the Year Jury, on Friday, where he also revealed that the car will be officially introduced at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show next March.
During the interview, Jakoby said that he is "extremely positive" and "really excited" about the V40, which will be positioned against the five-door variants of the Audi A3 and BMW 1-Series as well as the Lexus CT200 h.
The clip starts with a black Volvo S80 driving normally on a traffic jammed road, allegedly somewhere in Moscow, Russia, but as soon as the cars in front stop, the driver pulls the vehicle diagonally on the road and then three men dressed in black jump out of the car.

The team over at GTBOARD, which uploaded the video on Youtube, didn't provide any supplementary information on the Amazon, but looking through our archives we discovered that this particular modified Volvo is most likely the same car that was displayed at the 2006 SEMA Show, albeit updated with several tuning goods.

According to the promo event's organizers, it took Reid more than one try but in the end, he managed to return a lap time of 1:28 with a top speed of 193km/h (119 mph). The new race car gets a revised front end which is longer, lower and wider, with the Swedish automaker claiming that the new design delivers a higher ground pressure at the front, and an improved airflow right around the vehicle.
